Comments I started doing ju-jitsu for self-defence. Initially I wanted to remain a Red Belt and just learn the Art, but I slowly made my progression through the belts.

I graded for Blue Belt in the UK under Professor Parker in June 2004. Getting Blue was a major motivating force, but it was touch and go.

In March 2006, after a year of battling injuries, which were because to my age and over zealous technique application, I graded First Dan in South Africa under Professor Parker and Sensei Sam.

My interest is to see how ju-jitsu is done in various countries around the world, while enjoying myself, participating in Random Attacks, and training others in the Art.
