Tyrone Abdul

Tyrone was selected as part of the national team and competed in the UK in 1994.

Tyrone trained at the Tonkinkan dojo in South Africa until he returned to Zimbabwe in 1995. Ju-jitsu was completely unknown there, but Tyrone’s love of the art didn’t let that stop him. He opened his own clubs in Mutare and Harare, as well as assisting with self-defence for security guards.

In 1999,  Tyrone emigrated to the USA, where he made his home in Omaha, Nebraska. Since then he has actively participated in teaching ju-jitsu and self-defence.
